best remedies for boredom.

So I’m busy all the time, but now and then I just want to surf around the internet to see what I can find. I’ve compiled a list of my favorite websites to share and these are always my go-to destinations when I’m surfing “just for fun.”

10.) The Onion (theonion.com)
This is possibly one of the weirdest and most pointless websites out there. It is nothing but fake news. Nothing is real but it is entertaining because it’s all reported in a legitimate news report style.

9.) Photobucket (photobucket.com)
I like to check this site out when I need inspiration for anything creative–especially photography. Millions of photographs are on this one website and I guarantee you’ll find something you’ll like.

8.) Lifehacker (lifehacker.com)
If you’re looking for ways to be more productive (or even if you’re not), this one is for you. It provides tips and tricks on a daily basis that will help you get stuff done. It’s that simple.

7.) College Humor (collegehumor.com)
This one has the most epic videos, pictures and stories you’ll find anywhere. It’s hilarious! Anything that could go wrong for college students–it’s there. From embarrassments and epic fails to ways to prank somebody, you have to check it out.

6.) eBay (ebay.com)
Okay, so I rarely buy anything from eBay but sometimes it cures boredom. Maybe I’m weird, and if so, just keep scrolling.

5.) Pandora (pandora.com)
This is a favorite and the only reason it’s number five is because it doesn’t serve as a remedy to aforementioned blog title alone. You will still have to find something to do while listening to ANY kind of music you choose from this delicious website but, hey, I couldn’t leave it off! Who doesn’t love anything that knows exactly what you want to hear?

4.) Picnik (picnik.com)
This is a great photo editing website if you find yourself bored enough to edit some photos that could use a little revamping. It doesn’t serve professional photographers very well because of all its limitations but for most anybody else, it’s fantastic! In fact, it can be overwhelming if you’re new to the whole “photo editing” trend that seems to be so popular these days. My only advice; keep the use of filters to a minimum–it degrades the quality of your photo quickly.

3.) Online Shopping (category)
I totally realize “online shopping” isn’t a website… it’s a hobby. A very fun one, I might add. We all do it pretty often, I think. Whether you are looking for clothes, things for the house or textbooks, it’s a dang fun thing to do. If you’ve never caught yourself shopping online for more than two hours at a time, though, it may not be for you. Even if I can’t buy everything I find, I like to think it keeps me up to date on the newest “stuff”.

2.) Social Networking Sites (twitter.com, facebook.com, plus.google.com)
Chances are you are already a member of at least one of the sites mentioned above. We all know what Facebook is but what about Twitter? Twitter has really taken off in terms of popularity in the last year or two. It started with celebs keeping their fans up to date with what’s happening in their life but now… now it’s everyone. These days, you don’t even have to be a person to have a Twitter. You will find businesses, events and even animals with Twitter pages. Do you tweet? Check it out if you don’t.

1.) StumbleUpon(stumbleupon.com)
Now, my favorite! Warning: stumbling can be addictive and you may find yourself on this one for hours at a time. I’m not even going to tell you what it is–I can’t! It’s just TOO good. I highly recommend this one.

Hope you enjoy these remedies for common boredom.
